ABOUT THE ARTIST
Holiii me llamo Rae Salazar :) I'm a 24 year old self-taught, queer, latina, mixed-media artist based in Madrid, Spain. My main mediums are acrylic paint, paper collaging, wire-wrapped & beaded jewelry, oil & chalk pastels, digital illustration (procreate), and occasionally I take on thrift flip upcycling projects.
After quitting my job as a behavioral therapist in the Summer of 2024, I spent my last year in Richmond, VA working as a full time artist. RaeSalazarte & JewelryxRae grew more than I ever imagined, and I am incredibly grateful for the love and support Richmond has shown me to allow me to live a more passionate, fulfilled lifestyle.​​

In August 2025, I accomplished my lifelong dream of leaving the U.S. and moving to Spain (!!!) I am now working on rebuilding RaeSalazarte on this side of the world. My goal is to continue selling my jewelry, but to focus more on commissions, artist collaborations, and murals.
